Twenty One Pilots performance

In September 2009 the band announced their participation in the battle. 11 October 2009 Twenty One Pilots played a concert, where several songs from the debut album were performed, in youtube there is a recording of the whole performance of the band, this is the only recording of the band's performance in 2009[1].

Closing

On June 21, 2021, it was announced on the official Facebook page that the building would be closed and demolished:

«I know many of you have probably already seen and heard, the Alrosa Villa has closed its doors for good. In the coming weeks, possibly months, the old venue will be torn down and affordable housing projects will be built in its place. This breaks everyone's Hearts, including mine.

Many of you dont know this, but this page has been re-created 2 times, this being the most popular of the 3 pages. The page was ran by only 2 people - Justin Tinney aka Devious T and Kris Von who both shared an absolute untouched love for the venue, the past employees, and every concert that ever took place within the walls.

The goal of of the Villa has always been to provide the absolute best live entertainment that Central Ohio has to offer. They happily served Columbus for decades providing you with the absolute best concerts they could find whether it be Rock, Hip Hop, or somewhere in between.

We've seen Stars born here, unfortunately we've had Stars pass away here, but the one thing that can never be taken away from us is the amazing memories we've all created along the way with magical people inside of this magical place.

I don't personally like how the media always chose to portray the venue when talking about it because they always chose to drag it down with negativity because of the unfortunate passing of Dimebag Darrell... But that shouldn't be what defines Alrosa as a music venue. They provided so many people with so many amazing opportunities throughout the years and we are happy to say that a lot of the best musicians in the country got their start right here at the venue on that stage.

So whether you came to one of the many local metal shows, Juggalo shows, or national shows, you made the biggest impact that anyone in this state could have done. You allowed the Alrosa Villa to serve the community longer than most businesses get to operate.

I know I will personally forever be grateful for the opportunity that Rick, Diane, and Johnny all gave me back in 2009 when I was just some nobody scrub trying to get his foot in the door. So I guess it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to this venue myself, and all of the patrons that ever visited it. I appreciate each and everyone of you, and I hope that we can all find a new place to call home for a future musical endeavors. Thank you all so much for the Memories, I love you all, thank you so much.»
