Background

“Vignette” is the 6th track from Twenty One Pilots' 2024 album, “Clancy”. The lyrics speak of addiction, with common excuses and traits among addicts being depicted.

During the premier livestream, Tyler spoke about Vignette, saying:

[T]here’s a few interpretations of it. I think for me, it makes the most sense when I look at it from the perspective of addiction, and what that can feel like at times. A certain type of season of that and that’s why this song is very special to me.
